Job Reference: ADOP23
Location: Hybrid London/Remote
About the company:
On Device Research uses proprietary mobile technology and an actively managed consumer panel to help our clients gain a detailed understanding of the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns. We work with some of the world’s leading brands, ad agencies and media owners; and have won a series of awards for our great work along the way.
This position provides an opportunity for the successful candidate to join a fast-growing and innovative team in our thriving UK business.
About the role:
This is a great role reporting into the Operations Director, and working closely with the Engineering and Data Collection teams. We measure and analyse the effect of digital advertising on brands by using tracking pixels to collect data from consumers who are passively ‘exposed’ to advertising.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Creation and provision of tracking pixels to clients, for the collection of ad exposure impressions, based on an interpretation of their media plans;
Reconciliation - monitoring the collection of impressions into our proprietary application; deriving appropriate reports for all projects to test for quality and comparing collection with claimed delivery of impressions;
Diagnostics – working with clients and using our proprietary tools for troubleshooting any discrepancies and advise when tracking pixels are not working; possibly replicating any issues in appropriate demo environments;
Onboarding – helping to integrate with clients and platforms we are new to working with, corresponding and testing as appropriate;
Building relationships with the Ad Ops teams of our clients, and working with them to build up knowledge of their platforms;
Feeding back to the Engineering team as to how mechanisms and processes can be improved;
Working with the other Fieldwork team members with regard to designing sample, setting up ad campaigns, and monitoring fieldwork for live projects.
The ideal candidate will have:
At least 3 years’ experience of working in digital ad operations, digital client services or in a relevant ad tech scenario (preferably at a digital advertising agency, publisher, network, programmatic platform or ad technology company), with an understanding of how digital media is bought and sold.
Relevant knowledge of how data is transferred across the internet, with sufficient technical knowledge and understanding of how tracking pixels work.
Knowledge of ad serving, programmatic platforms and digital delivery systems; familiarity with implementing tracking pixels at DSP and/or ad server level.
Knowledge of digital media advertising trends, such as social media, video, CTV, Audio, Podcast, DOOH, and Native Ads is desirable.
A rudimentary knowledge of how GDPR affects impression data collection would be advantageous.
Generally, the candidate should possess:
A good numerate degree; 2:1 or above, or equivalent qualification;
An analytical mindset, able to demonstrate logical thinking and problem solving skills;
Good communication skills, ability to work well within a team, and happy to communicate with clients;
A ‘can do’ attitude, and a willingness to work flexibly and adaptively;
Willingness to be trained on software packages may not have prior experience of;
MS Excel to a good standard (candidates will be tested for general competency).
